Phil Lesh has detailed the lineup of musicians for his upcoming nine-show Halloween residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY next month. In addition to an expansive lineup of Friends, several of the shows will also feature the Phil Lesh Quintet, otherwise known as “The Q.”
The residency is split up into three, three-night runs. The first run, Monday–Wednesday, October 11th–13th, will see performances by The Q, with Lesh joined by Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, John Molo, and Rob Barraco. The Q was formed in 2000 and remains the longest-running incarnation of Phil Lesh & Friends. Most recently, the group reunited in March 2016 for the Grateful Dead bassist’s birthday concerts.
The following weekend, October 18th–20nd, Lesh will host a rotating lineup of Friends. Stuart Bogie, Eric D. Johnson, Josh Kaufman, Phil’s son Grahame Lesh, Joe Russo, and Benmont Tench will be on hand for the whole weekend while Amy Helm will appear on October 18th and 20th and Elliot Peck will perform on the 19th.
Finally, the Phil-o-Ween residency comes to a close October 29th—31st. The lineup features Dawes bandmembers Taylor Goldsmith, Trevor Menear, Griffin Goldmsith, and Lee Pardini in addition to Grahame Lesh, Nicki Bluhm, M.C. Taylor (Hiss Golden Messenger) on the 29th and 30th, and both Teresa Williams and Larry Campbell on Halloween night.
