WinterWonderGrass California returns to Olympic Valley April 1st–3rd, 2022 with a lineup headed by Billy Strings (x2), The Infamous Stringdusters, The California Honeydrops, and more. The California edition of Bonfire Entertainment‘s traveling bluegrass festival will take place at the Palisades Tahoe ski resort, formerly known as Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, just north of Lake Tahoe.
Also on the lineup for WinterWonderGrass California are Peter Rowan, Keller & The Keels, Fruition, The War & Treaty, Brothers Comatose, Kitchen Dwellers, Della Mae, Lindsay Lou, and the Larry Keel Experience. The festival will also feature another edition of the all-star WinterWonderWomen collaborative set featuring Bridget Law and Lindsay Lou in addition to sets by Town Mountain, Trout Steak Revival, Midnight North, Cris Jacobs, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, Pickin’ On The Dead, Old Salt Union, Rapidgrass, TK & The Holy Know Nothings, and Twisted Pine.
“Some things may have changed, but thankfully, some things have not. It’s incredibly humbling and inspiring that the entire 2020 lineup, except one, are all returning for 2022,” remarks festival founder and producer, Scotty Stoughton. “For the artists to make that kind of commitment is unheard of and a huge testament to the love and enthusiasm that these bands have for WWG and Tahoe. Billy Strings will be doing two sets, The Infamous Stringdusters are coming back, and The Devil Makes Three will be replaced by The California Honeydrops. The entire WWG team is feeling blessed, and grateful, to be able to return to a place that feels like home!”
As is WinterWonderGrass California tradition, a free show in the Village will kick off the festivities on Thursday afternoon. A separately-ticketed Tram to Table Dinner featuring Keller Williams will then occur that evening. The dinner includes a 10-minute ride in a panoramic tram car up to High Camp, allowing for abundant views of Lake Tahoe.
